    The Maryland Art Education held a successful Juried Members’ Art Exhibit at the Towson Arts Collective Gallery located at 406 York Road in Towson. This exhibit ran from November 14 through December 27, 2008. Over 150 pieces were entered in the exhibit and about 50 were selected to be on display. An Artist’s Reception was held on Friday November 14, 2008 from 5:30- 7:30 pm. and was well attended. A wide variety of high quality artworks which included both 2-d and 3-d artwork was enjoyed by the members and guests.   Featured Artists included:  Abrams, Bare, Battaglia, Bocchino, Broadwater, Carinci, Coates, C. Collins, N. Collins, Emerich, Gambino, Geissenhaimer, Goldstein, Hanson, Herman, Heuston, LaLonde, Littig, Livingston, Lurz, McGeehan, Milligan, Miers-Bond, Newton, Popp, Praff, Sabiston, Sass, Shepherd, Short, Sowski, Tandon and Yutzi.

     This yearly exhibit gives our MAEA members a chance to display their artwork in a public space for all to view and enjoy.  A special thanks goes out to Laverne Miers Bond and Mark Coates for publicizing and organizing the MAEA members’ exhibit along with Kate Mansperger, Brian Trible and all the Towson Art Collective folks for their assistance.
